01 | Context

The Guelph Police Service Headquarters required extensive renovations and two additions in order to meet facility requirements for their growing work force and operations. It is located in the downtown area of Guelph, which was taken into consideration with the development of its new public facing entrance. Additionally, the newly constructed areas provide publicly accessible amenities including a community room for gatherings and meetings.

02 | Role & Responsibilities

Working on a team of 4 other members, I contributed by co-ordinating between client and sub-consultants on various technical and design issues including HVAC systems, security systems, furniture layouts, structural issues, electrical systems, and acoustic requirements. I attended several client & sub-consultant meetings, participated in site visits, and worked alongside the team to develop working drawings for the tender package and client review.

Additionally, I collaborated with the project architect and design architect to further the design of the building's exterior and developed presentation materials for client and city review.
