what i’m doing now

product design

I have spent the last 6 years focusing on envisioning future-facing AR interactions as a research designer with Meta Reality Labs Research. When leading ideations and research directions, I have often applied architectural principles to novel interaction concepts. In pitching these concepts, I have often leveraged the storytelling skills from my background in film.

REALITY LABS - RESEARCH

As a research designer in Reality Labs Research, I worked on several teams whose goal was to envision mixed reality interactions on a 15-20 year timeline, and define the research that would help us achieve that future.

I have driven projects from conceptual ideation [concept drawings, diagrams, presentation decks] through to built, experiential prototypes on multidisciplinary teams [research scientists, research designers, software engineers, UX researchers, prototypers, product managers, and technical project managers].

Research projects where I led design research have resulted in working prototypes, patents, or research papers.

CHATHAM LABS | research design

HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION RESEARCH & DESIGN

During my time at Chatham Labs, I led design research on multidisciplinary teams that envisioned mixed reality use cases on a 15+ year timeline for an external client. Our team worked with our client to generate conceptual ideas from the brainstorming stages, rapidly prototyped those experiences, and finally built working prototypes.

In addition to client-facing work, I contributed to multiple research papers and led a design-focused internship.

massive-scale agency

The goal of my thesis project was to give individuals an informed choice about their everyday actions, consumption of goods, and the embodied energy required to sustain their lifestyle. This was done through the design of a digital platform where information could be easily shared.

Design challenge | app design

water elephant

This design challenge asked for the creation of a digital service that informs the user of their environmental footprint. The scope of the service was left broad, so I chose to focus on a service that would help educate the locals in Yangon, Myanmar on the issue of waste disposal.
